Final 2023 Travels - Oct 18 to Nov 10

I've been lazy about posting the last stretch of an action packed 2023 ... so here it is!

After my stop in Cleveland at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, I made my way to Chicagoland (Evanston) and got to see some of my favorite people - Michael, Taya, and Charlie Combopiano in the foreground, and Sam Thomas holding MacDuff :-)

From Chicago we headed out to an amazing state park in Illinois called Starved Rock. Spent a gorgeous day hiking through canyons (Illinois has canyons...who knew?) with Sam, Kristen, and Sam's brother Joe :-)

Yes, we are looking down on you ;-)

After Illinois I skedaddled out to Colorado to catch the end of hiking season before the snow. Here's a shot of a long one MacDuff and I did outside of Estes Park.

MacDuff is at that stage when peer influence has become more substantial. I just told him to be safe and come home by midnight.

From Estes Park I headed over to Golden CO, a lovely town just west of Denver. The snow caught up with me there.

Did we stay warm? With the help of this guy, yes.
