June 20th to July 4th

Hey everyone! It has been an action packed 2 weeks! I still feel like a very lucky man.

The past 2 weeks have been, well, magical :-)

After we left Golden, British Columbia (BC) we spent 3 days at Revelstoke National Park. It looks like this:

And this. Top of a ski jump where most of the world records were set until the late 70s. You can lean forward in this thing and imagine soaring. Super cool.

We love a good vista, but MacDuff and I also really enjoy these beautiful wooded trails. No shortage of lovely little waterfalls when you want to take a break from hiking.

After Revelstoke we made our way to the Western part of BC. Along the way we stopped at Duffy Lake for a selfie, because how could we not? Also, one of us could use a little grooming.

Unbeknownst to me, MacDuff investigated the fire pit while I got the trailer set up in our next spot, Nairn Falls Provincial Park. Who needs some grooming now?

Nairn Falls is close to the cool tiny town of Pemberton. Big hike on the first day:

Followed by cooling off in this. Yes, it is as cold as it looks!

And then something really great happened. Chuck Hollowell jumped on my impromptu invitation to come out and enjoy BC paradise, booked a flight to Vancouver, and voila!

It didn't take MacDuff long to decide he liked Chuck.

After a long day of hiking, MacDuff likes to relax at a brewery.

BC is full of great breweries...but this one in Pemberton is A-MAZING:

After Pemberton we headed to Alice Lake Provincial Park near Squamish. Pretty sweet backyard at our campsite.

It was really wonderful to adventure around BC with Chuck! We spent a lot of time with these looks on our faces.

MacDuff and I said goodbye to Chuck, and Canada, and headed back to the lower 48 on July 2. We're now on the coast of Oregon, near Tillamook. Again, an amazing place to set up for a few days:

But he rallied when he realized what this place was all about!

So that's all for now! MacDuff and I will be in Oregon until Thursday, then we head to Point Reyes in California where we'll meet up with Lisa, Landon, and Aunt Jen. Can't wait!
